Database of Best Available Techniques (BAT) in the Industrial Areas of the Mediterranean Region

This database is a collection of Best Available Techniques (BAT) in the Industrial Areas of the Mediterranean Region. It includes techniques, technologies and best practices in terms of environmental, social and economic solutions with the aim to move towards Sustainable Industrial Areas. The completion of the database has been possible by the joint efforts of two projects: LISEA(financed by Emilia Romagna Region, Italy) and MEID(financed by EU Med Programme).

The database is organized in folders, one for each industrial area, and it contains information on the areas and best practices (BAT). In particular it contains information such as: territorial scenario of the area, managing body, number of involved municipalities, IA surface, number of established companies and employees, as well as EMAS or ISO14001 certification, and the related BAT. The description of the best practices (BAT) can be downloaded from the relative folder. An essential bibliography about best practices on Industrial Areas called “Document Repository” is also included.

The database is accessible by providing a username and a password to the system which can be obtained by performing a regular and free registration.
